Chelsea FC Women partner with Signify
Online threats and abuse are an ever-increasing challenge in sport with woman’s sport facing some specific and unique challenges as its profile grows exponentially.
Thanks to Signify’s Threat Matrix service, Chelsea FC Women will be able to monitor and respond to online threats aimed at players, coaches, and key staff in a more targeted and effective way.
The agreement covers major platforms like X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, as well as Chelsea’s own channels, and will significantly support the existing work being done to combat online abuse.
Through real-time insights, Signify will identify abusers and help the club take action or escalate cases to authorities when needed - a powerful step forward in safeguarding the people who make the game great. Threat Matrix supports 42 languages with the service protecting family members as well as playing and support staff throughout the year.
